Description

This OHHH-SOOOO amazing mid-century home has wonderfully-large room sizes, tons of storage, huge triple-pane windows, a wood-burning fireplace, stunning hardwoods in both main and upper levels, wonderful mid-century detailing, phenomenal build-quality and a true ensuite-master. It’s absolutely as good as it gets in this price range! The outdoor living spaces are enchanting with towering trees that offer wonderful shade and a sweet space for relaxation. If you’re shopping on the west side of the City and appreciate quality, beauty and strong neighborhoods, you’ve probably been drawn to the best parts of Applewood where you’ve now learned that you need to spend upwards of $825,000 to get a good one – even if it still “wants” some updating. If $825k++ isn’t in the cards, come take a look at Meadowlark, which has comparable quality homes and is just as close to the slopes and to amazing JeffCo Open Spaces, yet walkable to the W-Light Rail and much closer to Highlands and Berkeley where you may still want to hang-out. This high-end mid-century neighborhood with curvy streets, a great tree canopy, very spacious lots and a gigantic amount of pride of ownership will certainly impress! The street name might suggest it is close to the freeway but with two 6ths, two 5ths and two 4ths (this one being the farther of the two 4ths), it’s not close at all. This nearly-four-decade owner has given this incredible home an absurd amount of love and care including great maintenance and thoughtful upgrades such as a Class-4 Impact Resistant roof that qualifies for significant savings with many insurers. This basement could easily have an additional bedroom and bathroom added, still leaving sufficient space for a family room. If you’re thinking of education, note that South Lakewood Elementary and Lakewood High are schools that parents are really raving about! See the photo here of similar kitchen cabinetry painted and imagine quartz countertops all doable approx $5,000-ish.
